Sports Venues

  • Boardwalk & Baseball, Kansas City Royals Spring Training Facility, Haines City, Florida
    Project consisted of a new 10,000 seat Stadium and detached Minor League Clubhouse located on the site. Project included multiple concession stands that were also a part of the design. Our tasks included heating, ventilating, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing and fire protection design for the Stadium, Clubhouse, and enclosed batting tunnels. The field lighting was designed for 150 foot-candles in the infield and 100 foot-candles in the outfield. HVAC systems included roof mounted equipment and selected to meet the various needs of the spaces. A standby generator was included to provide emergency power for all egress lighting as well as life safety needs.

  • Chicago White Sox Spring Training Facilities, Sarasota, Florida
    Project consisted of a new 7,000 seat Stadium and detached Minor League Clubhouse located off site. Project included 3 concession stands that were also a part of the design. Our tasks included heating, ventilating, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing and fire protection design for the Stadium, Clubhouse, and 12 enclosed batting tunnels. The field lighting was designed for 150 foot-candles in the infield and 100 foot-candles in the outfield. HVAC systems included roof mounted equipment and selected to meet the various needs of the spaces.   • Grove Stadium, Frederick, Maryland
    Project consisted of a new 5,000 seat Class A Stadium and Minor League Clubhouse included within for the Baltimore Keys Minor League Team. Project included several concession stands that were also a part of the design. Our tasks included heating, ventilating, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing and fire protection design for the Stadium and Clubhouse. The field lighting was designed for 70 foot-candles in the infield and 50 foot-candles in the outfield. HVAC systems included roof mounted equipment and selected to meet the various needs of the spaces.

  • SEC Taylor Stadium, Des Moines, Iowa
    Project consisted of a new 5,500 seat Stadium including a Minor League Clubhouse located within for the Triple A Iowa Cubs Minor League Team. Project included several concession stands that were also a part of the design. Our tasks included heating, ventilating, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing and fire protection design for the Stadium and Clubhouse. The field lighting was designed for 150 foot-candles in the infield and 100 foot-candles in the outfield. HVAC systems included roof mounted equipment and selected to meet the various needs of the spaces.

  • Boston Red Sox Spring Training Facility, Ft. Myers, Florida
    Project consisted of a new 7,000 seat Stadium and detached Minor League Clubhouse located off site. Project included 3 concession stands that were also a part of the design. Our tasks included heating, ventilating, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing and fire protection design for the Stadium, Clubhouse, and 12 enclosed batting tunnels. The field lighting was designed for 150 foot-candles in the infield and 100 foot-candles in the outfield.   • Kauffman Stadium, Kansas City Royals,  Kansas City, Missouri
    This has included multiple projects at this stadium involving new and/or renovation to HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems. Areas renovated include the entire Press Booth areas, Ticket Booths, Stadium Club, Weight Training Room, Grounds Crew area and most office areas.

  • Homestead Sports Complex, Homestead, Florida
    Project consisted of a 6,000 seat stadium, a detached 8,000 SF Clubhouse, 8 Practice Fields with Concession/ Toilet Buildings and Batting Tunnels to serve as a Major League Sprint Training Facility. Our task was to review the design of the Engineer for the project and review shop drawings, change orders, and make periodic site visits to observe construction.

  • Olathe District Activity Complex, Olathe, Kansas
    Project consisted of a multi-use facility with lighted fields, one football,, one soccer, four baseball and four softball. Fields were illuminated for recreational and High School play. The complex included Clubhouse/Locker Rooms, Concession areas and field irrigation. Gibbens Drake Scott, Inc. prepared design for all field lighting and poles, all irrigation piping and pumps, HVAC-Plumbing-Electrical design for the Clubhouse/Locker Building and the Press Booth as well as concession stands.

  • Comisky Park, Chicago, Illinois
  • Lawrence Dumont Stadium, remodeling to stadium. 4000 seat Stadium. Field lit to Class AA levels, Wichita, Kansas
