Gibbens Drake Scott, Inc. recently acquired licenses for two new software programs.  The first, Tile Flow, provides the mechanical department with a resource called Computational Fluid Dynamics.  The software creates a computer model of a space to calculate the distribution and air flow of cooling air.  Tile Flow enables us to arrive at the best cooling strategy for data centers and other projects.  AGi32 is a lighting design software that utilizes calculation tools to  create lighting design models and color renderings for any building.  The software was found especially useful for the oculus in the Qatar Student Housing Project we are designing with Yarnell & Associates and Burns and Mc Donnell.

Gibbens Drake Scott, Inc. recently acquired a license for Autodesk Building Systems which runs on an Architectural Desktop platform.  This new program will allow GDS to execute its design work of M/E/P systems within AutoCAD in 3-D.  GDS would now only need the files of an architect’s 3-D model to design mechanical ductwork, electrical lighting, cable trays, and plumbing piping to coordinate with the original model.  Our goal is to be provide our clients the best service when modeling their architecture in 3-D.
