GDS Employees

Rick Anderson – Rick originally joined GDS in 1987 as a CAD operator and developed into a plumbing designer.   As the CAD and network systems developed through the years, Rick exhibited a strong interest in taking over the management of the Company network systems.  Since 1996, Rick has overseen the day to day operations of the network and information technology for our Company.

Todd Atkins, PE – Todd has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University, and joined GDS in 1998 as a staff mechanical engineer. He has experience in HVAC and plumbing design for a wide range of commercial, industrial, and educational applications.

Jason Ayers - Jason joined GDS in 2005 as a technology designer. He has 12 years of experience in the design and installation of structured cabling systems for a wide range of commercial, industrial, institutional, and educational projects.  Jason is currently studying to become a Registered Communications Distribution Designer. 

Gerry Batrez – Gerry joined GDS in 2006 as a Senior Electrical Designer.  He has 27 years of creating electrical designs for projects ranging from small office tenant finish to high-rise office buildings.  Gerry’s areas of expertise include commercial tenant finish, electrical distribution, and lighting design. 

Gary Boulware – Gary has attended both Longview Community College and Central Missouri State College and came to GDS in 1996.  He is a Senior Electrical Designer and has over 34 years of experience in the design of electrical systems for a wide range of commercial, industrial, institutional, educational and government projects.

Jon Brolhorst - Jon studied architectural engineering at Southeast Community College in Nebraska and joined GDS in 2001.  Jon is an Electrical Designer and has over 7 years of experience in the design and implementation of electrical systems for a wide range of commercial, industrial, institutional, eductional, and government projects.

John Capra - John is a Mechanical Designer and has more than 38 years of experience in the design of HVAC and plumbing systems for a wide range of commercial, industrial, institutional, and government projects.  John joined GDS in 1997.

Alan Coffman, PE - Alan has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University, and joined GDS in 1999 as a staff mechanical engineer.  He has more than 28 years of experience in the design of HVAC systems for a wide variety of commercial, industrial, institutional, educational, and government projects.

Gary Fussell - Gary is a Mechanical Designer and has over 17 years of experience in the design, cad, drafting and implementation of mechanical and electrical systems for a wide range of commercial, industrial, institutional, educational and government projects. Gary joined GDS in 1999.

Chris Huber, PE - Chris has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University, and joined GDS in 2005 as a staff mechanical engineer.  He has more than 17 years of experience in the design of HVAC and plumbing systems for projects in commercial, industrial, institutional, educational, and utilities.

Joreeta Long – Joreeta is our Office Manager and Secretary and has over 20 years of experience in the secretarial and clerical field.  Joreeta joined GDS in 1990.

Steve Peterson, PE - Steve has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri, and joined GDS in 2006 as a staff mechanical engineer.  He has more than 35 years of experience in the design of HVAC systems for projects in commercial, institutional, retail, and government.

Steve Rios – Steve has studied Architectural and Environmental design at Longview Community College and joined GDS in 1995.  Steve is a Project Manager with Gibbens Drake Scott, Inc.   He has 24 years experience in design of HVAC and plumbing systems involving commercial, industrial, institutional, educational and government projects.

Jaclyn Simons - Jaclyn has a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Missouri State University, and joined GDS in 2006 as a marketing coordinator.

Robin Sullivan – Robin attended the University of Missouri at Kansas City.  Robin is a Senior Project Manager and Team Captain for Gibbens Drake Scott, Inc.  Robin has over 27 years of experience in the design of HVAC and plumbing systems for a wide range of commercial, institutional, educational and government projects.

Tim Williams, PE – Tim has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri at Kansas City and joined GDS in 2001.  Tim has over 14 years of experience in the consulting engineering field from preparing electrical construction documents to the design and implementation of electrical systems for various projects.  Tim is a Certified Lighting Efficiency Professional (CLEP).
