Tom is President of Gibbens Drake Scott, Inc..and began the firm in 1983. He has over 34 years of experience in the design and implementation of electrical systems for a wide range of commercial, industrial, institutional,educational and government projects.

He obtained his RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) in 1994 to further enhance his capabilities in the areas of telecommunications and to stay abreast of changing technology. He has designed several projects requiring voice and/or data cabling systems using Ethernet or Token Ring networks.

He has served as Electrical Department Head and/or Principal-in-Charge for over 23 years. He has designed many projects that included building electrical services, lighting systems, grounding systems, hazardous wiring systems and data/communications systems. He brings many years of practical experience in project design, management and control to the project, both from the consultant and owner side.
